It was founded and is being spearheaded by Lisa Cojuangco-Cruz, daughter of Ambassador Eduardo and Mrs. Gretchen Cojuangco. It aims to build a national registry of lupus patients to enable doctors to track cases and help them find out more about the disease. It is under the Rheumatology Educational Trust Foundation Inc. that develops, promotes and supports research and education for patients and doctors. Also referred to as SLE, lupus is considered an autoimmune disease, which can involve several organ systems and become a chronic, complicated and disabling disease. The November 15 program will include a discussion on frequently asked questions in lupus by Bacolod-based rheumatologist Dr. Olg Pabicon; special concerns on lupus in children by Dr. Francis Xavier Dimalanta and caring for your heart by Dr. Nicolas Cruz. The Luisa Project will be discussed by Dr. Sandra Navarra. Program moderator and emcee is Dr. Ben Pablico
