Yes. While it is certainly possible for women with lupus to have children, pregnancy may not be easy - especially for those with active lupus, or those with the so-called “anti-phospholipid syndrome”. It is important to note that although many lupus pregnancies will be completely normal, all lupus pregnancies should be considered "high risk." Today, most women with lupus can safely become pregnant. With proper medical care, women with lupus can decrease the risks associated with pregnancy and deliver a normal, healthy baby.
